President Tinubu’s Special Assistant on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, has been officially named as one of the distinguished honourees for the upcoming 15th edition of The Voice Achievers Award and Business Summit, receiving the “African Public Relations Excellence Award”. This prestigious recognition highlights his impactful contributions to digital communication and public service, positioning him among an elite cohort of African leaders and change-makers celebrated annually by the Netherlands-based organization.

Dada Olusegun was appointed as the Nigerian President’s Special Assistant on Social Media on July 10, 2023, a role that was widely celebrated by the administration’s media centre two days later. Tasked with spearheading the presidency’s digital communications, engaging citizens, and bridging the information gap with Nigerian youths, his impactful management of the online architecture has earned him significant recognition and commendation. This foundational public service career has garnered international recognition, culminating in his selection to be honoured at the prestigious Voice Achievers Award and Business Summit at the Hilton London Kensington Hotel on August 21, 2026.

Dada Olusegun has transformed Nigeria’s presidential communications as Special Assistant on Social Media to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by modernizing Aso Rock’s digital architecture from rigid press releases into an interactive, public-facing dialogue. As the National Convener of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) Media Centre, he effectively coordinates federal policy amplification across digital platforms while implementing rapid-response protocols to counter misinformation. His commitment to youth inclusion and public transparency is highlighted by his organization of the historic Progressive Digital Media Summit 2025 at the Presidential Villa, alongside his consistent effort to simplify complex national policies, such as the Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas (Pi-CNG), NELFUND, CrediCorp, Tax and economic reforms. These strategic contributions have earned him significant professional accolades, including being named the Digital Icon of the Year 2025 at the Igbere TV Leadership Excellence Awards and now being selected as a continental honouree for the 15th edition of The Voice Achievers Award in London.

Dada Olusegun will join over 30 notable African trailblazers as both an honouree and an expected panelist at the 15th edition of The Voice Achievers Award and Business Summit. Organized annually by the Netherlands-based publication, The Voice News Magazine, the 2026 event centers on the theme, “Putting Africa In The Right Perspective—Focusing On Mental Empowerment For Economic Inclusion & Growth.” Hosted at the prestigious Hilton London Kensington Hotel on August 21, 2026, the itinerary features a daytime Business Dialogue summit from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, followed by an elite evening program at 6:00 PM that includes an Award Gala Night, a fashion show, and a diaspora networking.

By receiving this honour, “African Public Relations Excellence Award”, Dada Olusegun joins an elite alumni network of past Voice Achievers Award recipients, which includes late Zambian President Kenneth Kaunda, former ICC Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda, and former Sierra Leonean President Ernest Bai Koroma. The prestigious platform has historically recognized prominent continental dignitaries, African First Ladies, and trailblazers, including Kenya’s late Raila Odinga and Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, Professor PLO Lumumba, and the First Ladies of Rwanda, Equatorial Guinea, and The Gambia. Additionally, he shares this distinction with celebrated Nigerian figures such as former Governor Peter Obi, Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah, and Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, alongside medical pioneers like Dr. Lanalee Araba Sam.

Established in 2012 as a localized community project in The Netherlands, The Voice Achievers Award has evolved into a premier rotating global event hosted in major capital cities like Amsterdam, Dubai, Nairobi, Banjul, and Lagos to honour trailblazers within Africa and its diaspora. By migrating its venue annually, the platform aims to build a seamless network of global stakeholders committed to reshaping mindsets and driving mental and economic empowerment across the continent. For its milestone 15th edition, the award moves to London to bridge the gap between continental icons and the UK-based diaspora, reinforcing its enduring mission to connect, empower, and recognize individuals driving Africa’s growth.

The Nigerian Presidency, the presidential media team, friends, and well-wishers have flooded President Tinubu’s aide, Dada Olusegun, with congratulatory messages following his recognition by a prominent European-based Pan-African organization. This widespread praise underscores his impactful role in modernizing public engagement, as colleagues and supporters celebrate the international spotlight brought to his strategic contributions to digital governance.
